Getting started
Finds has two parts: a browser extension that saves pages, and a library at app.usefinds.com where you browse them. Both use the same account.
- Get an invite. Finds is invite-only while it’s in beta. Join the early access list and we’ll email you an invite.
- Create your account from the invite email, with Google or an email and password.
- Add the extension for Chrome, Firefox or Edge from the Download page, and sign in.
- Bring your bookmarks (optional). The welcome steps can import them from your browser or a file.
Saving pages
Every page you save keeps its real cover, title and description, so your library looks like the web, not a list of links.
From your browser
- Click the Finds icon in the toolbar. Save adds the page straight away; the arrow next to it opens the full form, with folders, tags, a note and Read later.
- Press ⌘⇧S on a Mac, or Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows and Linux.
- Right-click anywhere on a page and choose Save page to Finds.
When the page you’re on is already saved, the Finds icon shows a small check.
In the library
Use Add link at the top of the library and paste any address. Finds reads the page’s cover and details for you.
From your phone
- iPhone and iPad: open app.usefinds.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. To save pages from Safari, use the bookmarklet in Settings → Import & export.
- Android: open app.usefinds.com in Chrome, tap ⋮, then Add to Home screen. Finds then appears in the Share menu of any app.
Importing
Go to Settings → Import & export. Finds imports bookmark files from Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and exports from Raindrop and Pocket (HTML or CSV). Your folders come along too.
Organising
Folders
Folders work like moodboards: each one shows its newest covers on Home. A find can sit in several folders at once. Drag finds onto a folder in the sidebar to move them, or hold ⌥ Option (Alt on Windows) while dragging to copy instead.
Tags
Add tags when you save, or later from a find’s details. Every tag gets its own page in the sidebar.
Unsorted and Read later
- Unsorted holds everything that isn’t in a folder yet.
- Read later is for pages you mean to come back to. Opening a find takes it off the list.
Smart filters
Articles, Videos, Socials and Documents fill themselves in, based on what each page says it is.
Selecting several finds
Tick a find’s checkbox, then Shift-click another to select everything between. You can then add them to a folder, move them, copy their links or move them to Trash.
Finding things
Press ⌘K or / anywhere in the library to search. Finds looks through titles, addresses, descriptions, notes, tags and folder names.
- Type # and a tag to see only that tag.
- Press ⌘↵ to see every result on its own page.
- With Pro, search by meaning finds pages that match what you mean, even when the words differ.
Finds Pro
Pro removes the limits and adds tools that keep a big library easy to use. See Pricing for the full list.
- Unlimited folders and public links.
- Email reminders for Read later.
- AI tag suggestions and one-line summaries.
- Search by meaning, and readable saved copies of pages.
- Tidy up: suggested folders for everything in Unsorted.
Start a 14-day trial from Settings → Plan & billing. It needs no card, and when it ends you’re back on Free unless you subscribe. Payments, invoices and cancelling are handled by Paddle, from the same page.
Your account
- Two-factor sign-in: turn it on in Settings → Profile, with any authenticator app. Keep your backup codes somewhere safe.
- Devices: Settings shows where you’re signed in, including the extension, and lets you sign out of any of them.
- Trash keeps deleted finds for 60 days, so you can put them back.
- Broken links: Finds checks your links every week and flags pages that have gone.
- Export: download your whole library as a file from Settings → Import & export.
- Delete your account from Settings → Profile. Everything is removed.
Privacy
- No ads, and your links are never sold.
- The extension only sends Finds the pages you choose to save. The saved check on the toolbar is matched by your browser, so Finds never sees your browsing history.
- Covers and icons load through Finds, so the sites you’ve saved don’t see who’s looking.
